Our M01 has achieved good sales and received positive feedback. However, some customers have told us that its capacity is not enough for their needs. Even though we introduced multi-pack options, some travelers simply want one larger bag—rather than another bag they need to pack and carry.

Based on this feedback, we introduced the ReeYee M03 in two sizes: 20L and 35L. For customers considering several smaller bags, the larger M03 offers a similar amount of packing space at a lower price.

We also think it is important to explain a few aspects of the M03, based on feedback about the M01, so you can make the right choice for your trip.

1. TPU Material and Excellent Airtightness  

Why did we choose TPU? When we were selecting materials, we compared it with ordinary thin-film materials. You may not notice a problem the first time you use a thin-film bag. But with repeated use, the material can develop creases, and repeated stress along those creases may weaken it. This increases the risk of damage and air leakage.

Over time, having to replace a bag frequently may not be cost-effective and can create unnecessary waste. That is why we chose TPU for the M03.

We also want to talk about the zipper. It takes some effort to use, and many customers have asked us whether their zipper was broken. The tighter pull is a compromise we made to help ensure a good airtight seal.

Compared with an ordinary zipper pull, this one has a T-shaped design. When closing it, hook two fingers around the ends of the pull, hold the bag steady with your other hand, and pull horizontally toward the opposite end. This makes it easier to close. Be sure to pull the zipper all the way to the end, until it aligns with the end slot, to ensure the bag is properly sealed.

2. Built-In Vacuum Pump—No Separate Pump to Carry

Using a separate vacuum pump means you have to remember one more accessory when you travel. If you accidentally lose it during your trip or leave it at a hotel, repacking suddenly becomes a hassle.

Some pump nozzles also do not fit a bag’s valve perfectly. A nozzle may be too large to connect, or too small to form a tight seal. Even when it connects, air leakage can reduce the pump’s effectiveness. An integrated pump avoids this connection issue.

However, this design also has its limitations:

(1) The integrated pump includes a battery. The M03 should therefore be carried in your cabin luggage, not placed in checked baggage. If you need a version without a built-in battery for checked luggage, you can consider our M02. Please check your airline’s current rules before flying.

(2) To avoid taking up too much space, we designed the pump to be compact. This limits its power, so the compression result may be less noticeable with thick, bulky clothing. You can help push the air out by pressing down on the clothing-filled part of the bag with your hands or a knee, while avoiding the pump, valve, zipper, and seams.

3. Choose the Right Size for Your Trip

The M03 is available in 20L and 35L sizes.

20L: This size is suitable for organizing clothes inside a backpack or small suitcase. In our tests, it held up to 10 lightweight T-shirts. If you are packing thick down jackets, however, it may hold only one or two.

35L: This size provides about 75% more capacity than the 20L version. It can hold more items or bulkier clothing and is better suited to a large backpack or medium-sized suitcase. In our tests, it held up to 18 lightweight T-shirts or approximately two to three down jackets.

These packing examples will vary with the size and thickness of your clothing. When choosing a size, consider what you actually need to carry and the space available in your luggage, rather than simply assuming that bigger is better.

Compression can save luggage space, but it does not reduce weight. When flying, remember to check your airline’s weight limit as well as its baggage size requirements.

If you often travel with a compression bag, convenience is not only about capacity. It is also about making packing easier and making each trip simpler. This is the idea behind the ReeYee M03.
