Especially considering the large price tag of almost $80, I certainly was expecting a little bit more.
First thing you notice is multiple warnings telling you to not overuse the air pump, not to use it for longer than three minutes or it will overheat. Upon inspection, the air pumps do feel pretty cheap.

The next thing I noticed is that the bags are rather small, but I will say that I was able to fit a surprising amount of clothing inside. To test it, I just started pulling clothes out of my wardrobe, rolling and folding them normally and I had to keep going back for more. So you can definitely fit more than you would think by looking at it.

On that note, it needs to be reasonably full or the somewhat weak air pump is going to have a very hard time getting the air out�� It definitely needs help by folding and pushing on the bag.

In regards to compression: for those of us accustomed to the storage bags for comforters and coats�� The kind that you hook up to an actual vacuum cleaner�� This is not that. It does NOT get that flat or compact. Heck, I can have a king sized mattress shipped to me and it will arrive in a pretty small box, all things considered. Even with folding and pushing to help the pump, it really just does not compress as much as regular vacuum packed bags do. Don��t get me wrong�� It works, and it will help save a little bit of space, but just not as much as I was expecting. Plus, if you are not careful about how you fold and push to help out the pump�� It compresses in very weird shapes. With lots of peaks and valleys, bumps, weird angles, etc..

Regarding ease of use: not having a rechargeable battery seems like a major flaw, in my opinion. Yes, most of us have battery banks and such. But needing power in order to use it takes away the ability to use them on camping trips, etc. unless you have a power bank. PLEASE NOTE: it��s possible that the lack of a rechargeable battery is what makes it airline approved? I tried to look it up and got contradictory information. I don��t fly often so I��m sure others are more well-versed on the rules. It��s possible that not having its own rechargeable battery is what makes it more universally accepted on an airplane. That said, one of the things that I read was that TSA will often make you open a vacuum sealed bag to get searched. So needing a power bank to compress it again creates an inconvenience.
Again, its inability to work without being plugged in might be a very intentional feature to comply with airline rules�� I��m not sure�� But if that is the case, then I understand.

The material it��s made from dozen indeed seem pretty heavy duty. The airtight zipper is pretty cool, but also a bit difficult to use. It requires quite a bit of force, especially for that last inch or so and they only give you this tiny little loop to hold onto to get the counter force required. It does have a nice handle on the side to make it more portable and easy to carry.

I compressed the bag and set it aside for the last two days to see if it would hold the air and it certainly does. There is no notable leaking that has occurred over the last 48 hours.

They are handy, they work reasonably well and seem strong enough to last�� Assuming the zipper doesn��t break from the force required to use it�� But I honestly was expecting them to have nicer pumps that are stronger and more durable or at least to have a larger quantity of bags instead of just two of them for almost $80. I really was torn whether to give them three or four stars. I went with four because they do work as advertised, but are very expensive. After I take them on a few trips, I will update my review in regards to durability and whether or not these pumps burn out. Getting multiple special notes from the manufacturer warning you not to use them very much��? I��m glad they are straightforward, but the disclaimer (along with the cheap feel of the pumps) doesn��t exactly inspire a lot of confidence. That said, they have not burned out so I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now.

I love vacuum travel bags. I've been using the plastic vacuum space bags for travel for a long time. I normally use them with my little travel pump for my backpack and suitcase travel. I got these because I was going camping that required water travel. I wanted my clothes protected because I didn't want to buy a waterproof backpack just for the trip. These can be used for any kind of travel or even off season clothes storage. I don't roll or KonMari fold my clothes for packing in vacuum bags. I take my time and fold my clothes flat, smooth, and to the size of the bag so every layer is as flat and thin as possible. I fold small things flat and puzzle several together to make one, flat layer so I keep everything as level as possible to reduce the amount of air trapped between the layers and the layers reduce wrinkles and compress better. This does take practice if you weren't raised by a mother with OCD when it came to folding laundry. Rolling is often quicker for people that don't have the patience to flat fold things smooth and thin. I make sure to do the folding on the largest, flat surface I have, either a bed or table. I also make sure to travel with fabrics that are knit or don't wrinkle easily to help with wrinkles that happen because of the compression. I like that this has the pump included and that I can use a variety of power sources to power it. These are basically the size of a travel backpack or carry on suitcase, so they fit into one side of suitcase or the backpack. I do tuck other things around the bag to pack my toiletries that are in small pouches and shoes. These are very easy to use and made my trip perfect. The zipper is stiff to open and close, but that is because it is a waterproof zipper. You want this. Make sure to pull it so that it is fully closed on the end and sort of goes over a little bump into its little parking spot so that it is water-proof and will vacuum. I do like the little window to see what is inside, but that does work best of you roll or KonMari fold your clothes so you can see what is in each. I unpack my clothes and shake out the wrinkles. I do hang things up as I go. If you use two of these, I use one for my dirty clothes and the other for my clean clothes. You can also pack one vacuumed empty so that you can fill it with your dirty clothes as you go. They won't take up any more space than the original one. I just stack them on top of each other with the clean clothes in one and the dirty in the other. I do fold and pack these up as I go and pack most everything but what I'm wearing the next day and my PJs the night before I leave to make sure I can be ready to go the next day. These are very well made and will last a long time. They are thicker material than my other vacuum bags, but these are built to last many, many trips. I like the handle for carrying the bag and moving the bag around. These are a great option for travel and make traveling much more pleasurable than having my clothes loose in my bag. They keep things neat, protected, easy to unpack into a drawer while still having your clothes in the bag. You do need to remember that these create more space and remove the weight of trapped air in your clothes, you can overload your bag because you have more space and are tempted to fit more stuff into the bag. Once you get the hang of them, you won't go back.

I got the smaller version of this compression bag (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GD15QWXH) from reeyee, and it worked well for local trips. Not having to carry a separate pump is convenient as long as you're not using these in checked luggage. So car trips and carryon luggage are a great fit for this bag. If you're checking your compression bags, you'll obviously want something with a separate pump, so the battery doesn't get you in trouble.

These are easy to use, although the zipper is pretty firm on these models. I'm definitely not worried about it coming open in transit, although it takes some patience to open and close.

At $109 for three ($49 for one, $79 for two), it's more expensive than manual pump bags or shared pump, but having misplaced the separate pump on another brand recently, I appreciate the fixed pump and easy USB-C charging in these. Looking forward to making more use of these over the summer and fall months, especially with Southwest eliminating their free bag policy.

Unfortunately, the biggest problem is that they don't stay vacuum sealed. After closing everything properly, I could actually hear a slight whistling sound as air slowly leaked back into the bag. Within a short time, the bag had already started expanding again.

That completely defeats the main purpose of buying vacuum storage bags, especially if you're trying to save space for travel or long-term storage.

It's disappointing because the bags themselves appear to be very well made, and I really liked the sturdy construction. If they maintained the seal, these would easily deserve a much higher rating. Unfortunately, since they don't consistently hold the vacuum, I can only give them 2 stars.

These are SERIOUS travel bags. Well made of heavyweight materials, they are for adventure travel as well as just the normal situations of having a lot to fit into a carryon. I have a standard hard-sized roller bag, and these DOUBLE my space. I am not exaggerating. They seal up and you let the air out through a small pump that seals. I found that I can also just let the air out manually by crushing the contents, but either way the contents become compacted. The bag has hanging loops, for storage. The window is a nice touch, so you can see the contents. My only issue is that the charging cord, USB-Cport, is short. But space being a premium, I get it. For the money, these are and investment but they are worth it if you care about being properly outfitted even though space is precious.
